The first step in programming is opening the System Preference (Mac) or Control Panel (PC) for the tablet. Find your model and follow the instructions. Updates are common and are usually listed in the support section of the site. When you purchase a new tablet, it’s a good idea to visit the manufacturer’s site to download the latest driver. It helps prevent arm, shoulder and neck aches. Resting it upon my lap allows me to sit up straight and draw in a natural body position instead of holding my arm up and out to one side for hours.
